The Founders

A Vision for Rumi

Rumi on Louth was born from a desire to create something that didn't exist: a place where high-end luxury coexists with radical sustainability.

"We didn't want to just build a resort; we wanted to build a sanctuary. A place where you can disconnect from the noise of the modern world and reconnect with the raw elements of nature, without sacrificing comfort."

— Che Metcalfe & Natasha Metcalfe

The Vision
Our Home

Where the desert meets the sea.

Louth Island sits in the calm waters of Louth Bay, just a short boat ride from Port Lincoln on the Eyre Peninsula. It is a place of stark contrasts: red granite outcrops, white sandy beaches, and protected coves teeming with marine life.

Originally a sheep station, the island has been carefully regenerated. We have planted thousands of native trees and cleared invasive species to allow the natural birdlife and ecosystem to thrive once again.
